The Lower Yukon Subregional Advisory Board met in Holy Cross in September to discuss regional priorities, community needs, and updates from Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) and its partners.
Chief/Chairman Sharon Hildebrand, Vice President Rhonda Pitka, and other TCC representatives provided updates on organizational priorities and services. Discussions covered infrastructure and energy, wildland fire response, Tribal courts, public safety, victim services, hunting and fishing, and land management. Representatives from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Healing Native Hearts Coalition, Doyon, and regional air carriers also shared updates.
The gathering provided an opportunity for Tribal leaders and regional partners to share information and discuss issues affecting Lower Yukon communities.
