TCC Achieves Highest Bond Rating in the Organization’s History

Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) is proud to announce that Fitch Ratings has upgraded Tanana Chiefs Conference’s bond rating to AA-, an increase from the A+ rating TCC has maintained over the past several years. Fitch also assigned TCC a Stable Outlook, reflecting confidence in the organization’s long-term financial strength and sustainability.

An AA- rating is considered a high-grade investment rating and reflects a very strong capacity to meet financial commitments with low credit risk. This means that TCC is in a strong financial position to continue investing in healthcare, programs, infrastructure, and services across the region for years to come. The upgraded rating also helps TCC secure funding and financing at more favorable rates, helping stretch resources further for the Tribes and communities we serve.

“This rating demonstrates TCC’s commitment to fiscal excellence and our responsibility to make thoughtful, sustainable decisions for the future of our organization and our people,” said Chief/Chairman Sharon Hildebrand. “It reflects the hard work of our leadership, staff, and Executive Board in ensuring TCC remains strong and stable for generations to come.”

The upgraded AA- rating positions TCC among financially resilient and well-managed organizations and strengthens the organization’s ability to continue making long-term investments that support the health and wellbeing of our region.

This achievement would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of TCC employees across the organization. Every program, department, and employee plays a role in helping ensure TCC remains strong, stable, and able to continue serving our Tribes and communities.
