Are you ready for the 2024 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)?
It is that time of year again. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is available online HERE. Please review the RFP and submit all supported documents by April 12, 2024, by 5PM.
This will be a reimbursable contract – tribes will hire youth through the tribe’s own hiring process.
Please note all deadlines and encourage youth to APPLY NOW. The Education & Indigenous Learning Program will be collecting Youth Service Applications so we have record of who has applied. It will be up to the local tribal offices to select the youth they intend to hire. Education & Indigenous Learning staff will need a list of the names of youth hired for the SYEP.
All Youth Services applications will need to be turned in by Friday, May 17, 2024, by 5pm. This will ensure that all youth will have 8 weeks of work experience, starting June 1, 2024, and ending August 31, 2024.
Deadlines to Remember
- RFPs certified mailed out – Friday, March 22, 2024
- RFPs due – Friday, April 12th
- Award Notifications sent out – Monday, April 22nd
- Signed (by Tribal Council Member) Award Notification turned in – Friday, May 3rd
- Youth applications turned in by – May 17th
- Youth employment dates: June 1st through August 31st
