WHEREAS, the rate of cancer in the Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) Region is affecting each and every one of our families and friends; and
WHEREAS, this event provides a stronger message of awareness and education of cancer; and
WHEREAS, TCC has the responsibility and obligation to provide awareness on prevention and educating to our tribal members of potential harmful lifestyles.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Tanana Chiefs Conference Full Board of Directors sponsor a day devoted to “Raise Awareness of Cancer”; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Tanana Chiefs Conference will work with each tribe to host a day of awareness and provide educational information on the importance of preventing cancer; and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that a day be set aside for “A Walk in Memory of All Who Passed”, be held to show support to families of loved ones.
