Resolution 2017-04: Yukon Tanana Culture Camp

WHEREAS, The Tanana Tribal Council has operated a culture camp for the past 25 years at Sixteen Mile Island; and 

WHEREAS, The camp has established buildings such as elder housing, a kitchen, and a smokehouse. Many tent frames are in place; and 

WHEREAS, Our Tribe has always welcomed all to participate in our summer and fall culture camps, where many different cultural activities are taught; and 

WHEREAS, TCC has received funding to support subregional culture camps. 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Tanana Chiefs Conference Full Board of Directors hereby considers culture camps to be located in Koyukuk river area, Yukon river area and the Tanana river area.
