We provide comprehensive outpatient services to Indian Health Service beneficiaries in the Interior of Alaska. Our health services include primary care teams, internal medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, WIC, and women’s health.

Our Primary Care Teams follow national best practice standards and will help foster a trusting relationship between patients and medical providers.

Our facility is proud to be accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).  Accreditation distinguishes our facility from many other outpatient facilities by providing the highest quality of care to its patients as determined by an independent, external process of evaluation.

Appointment Scheduling

An appointment is a time reserved for you. This includes updating registration information, nurse intake screening and being seen by your medical provider. The amount of time reserved depends on your specific needs, and will be determined when speaking with the Appointment Clerk.

If you can’t keep your appointment, please call to cancel it at least 24 hours (one day) in advance. When you cancel your appointment, you give another patient a chance to use that time with the doctor.

Medical needs after hours

Unfortunately there may be times when medical needs arise and the clinic is closed. In this case please use the After Hours Triage Nurse.

If you have a medical need that cannot wait for the next clinic day, please contact our regular center phone number at 451-6682 or 1-800-478-6682. The answering service will take your name and phone number, and forward it to CitraHealth.

The triage nursing service will contact you as soon as possible and offer a recommendation for your care. You may be instructed on how to manage the illness or injury properly until the next clinic day, or the CAIHC physician on call may be contacted to provide you with further advice.

In the event of an emergency

In an emergency situation that needs immediate attention please us the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital Emergency Room or call 9-1-1.  If you use the Emergency Room for health care that is not an emergency, you may be responsible for the bill.

Patient Rights & Responsibilities are important to offering high quality care and services.

Online surveys are available for patients who have received services at CAIHC, our rural clinics, or with our Behavioral Health Department. We appreciate your feedback.

Free Patient Shuttle

We currently offer a free patient shuttle (536KB) to the following locations:

      • Fairbanks Memorial Hospital
      • Housing First/Willow House
      • Chief Peter John Tribal Building (Administration Bldg)
