GED Preparation Program

Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) partners with the Literacy Council of Alaska (LCA) to provide GED preparation, tutoring, and testing services for eligible participants across the region.

Program Overview

Through this partnership, students receive individualized support to build the skills needed to successfully complete the GED examination. Services include:

  • GED preparation classes
  • One-on-one tutoring
  • Official GED testing coordination

Eligibility

Participants must be enrolled members of a TCC region tribe to qualify for support through this program.

How to Apply

Interested students apply directly to the Literacy Council of Alaska (LCA). Once enrolled, LCA works closely with TCC’s Education & Indigenous Learning team to coordinate payment for approved services.

Travel Support

TCC offers a travel scholarship for students who are identified by LCA as ready to take their GED examinations in Fairbanks. This support helps reduce barriers to testing and ensures students can complete their certification.
