Doreen Joseph Name Director of Tribal Priorities Advancement

Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) is pleased to welcome Doreen Joseph as the new Director of Tribal Priorities Advancement.

A Tribal member of Beaver, Doreen brings more than 30 years of experience serving Tribal communities and organizations throughout Interior Alaska. During her career, she has held leadership and administrative roles with organizations including the Fairbanks Native Association, Tanana Chiefs Conference, and Beaver Kwit’chin Corporation.

Through her work with Tribes, Tribal organizations, and community programs across the region, Doreen has developed a strong understanding of the priorities, opportunities, and challenges facing Alaska Native communities. Her experience in Tribal governance, community engagement, and organizational operations will help support TCC’s efforts to advance the priorities of its member Tribes.

In her new role, Doreen will work closely with Tribal leaders, communities, and TCC programs to strengthen Tribal initiatives, support strategic priorities, and advance opportunities that benefit the region. She will transition into the position full-time on August 3, 2026.
