Brian Ridley

Brian Ridley is Han Gwich’in and a tribal member of the Native Village of Eagle. Ridley grew up in Eagle on banks of the Yukon River. He received a bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Ridley previously served as Chief Finance Officer of Tanana Chiefs Conference from 2008-2021. He also worked as a branch manager and business banker for 11 years for National Bank of Alaska and Wells Fargo Bank.

Ridley currently serves as vice president of Hungwitchin Corporation. He previously served on the Doyon, Limited Board of Directors, as treasurer for the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center and Dillingham Chamber of Commerce and the Copper Valley Economic Development Council.

In his free time he enjoys hunting, golfing and spending time with his family including his wife Alexandra Swenson-Ridley and four sons, Gabe, Adam, Jacob and Fritz.

As the interim President of Tanana Chiefs Conference, President Ridley has the responsibility to ensure the 42 tribal entities and 20,000 tribal members are provided quality health care, social services and tribal government technical assistance.
