On October 7, Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) leadership traveled to Stevens Village to meet with Tribal leadership and discuss important issues and priorities impacting the community.
The visit provided an opportunity to discuss housing needs and funding opportunities, public safety and emergency response, employment and workforce development, and critical community infrastructure, including water and sewer systems. Additional topics included rising fuel costs, access to health care services, and resources available to support families and residents.
These discussions are an important part of TCC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with Tribal communities, better understand local challenges, and identify opportunities to provide support and resources that address community needs.
