Interior Native Vote hosted the Gubernatorial Candidate Mixer on August 5th in Fairbanks. More than 200 community members showed up to this nonpartisan event to ask questions of the candidates running to be Alaska’s next governor before casting their ballots in the Primary Election.
Volunteers at this event helped attendees check their voter registration status, register to vote, and identify their voting precinct to ensure they were ready for this fall’s elections. Participants left with all the information they needed to head to the polls.

Interior Native Vote is a nonpartisan voter engagement initiative led by Tanana Chiefs Conference, Fairbanks Native Association, and Doyon, Limited. Through events like the Candidate Mixer, the partnership works to help voters access election information, connect with candidates, and participate in the democratic process.
