Our Services

Our Cancer Care team brings together a dedicated group of healthcare professionals committed to providing coordinated, patient-centered care close to home. Your care team may include Oncology Nurse Navigators, Cancer Care and Infusion Center (CCIC) providers, hematology-oncology specialists, infusion nurses, pharmacists, and travel coordinators who work together to support your unique needs throughout your cancer journey.

By collaborating across specialties, we help ensure seamless care, improved communication, and access to the services and resources you need every step of the way.

What Is an Oncology Nurse Navigator?

An Oncology Nurse Navigator is a dedicated healthcare professional who helps guide patients and their families through every stage of the cancer journey. They provide personalized support by helping patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options, coordinating appointments, tests, and referrals, and connecting them with local, regional, and Tribal resources. As a consistent and trusted point of contact, Oncology Nurse Navigators help reduce barriers to care and ensure patients have the information and support they need throughout treatment and beyond.

The Cancer Care program provides compassionate, patient-centered support for individuals affected by cancer, blood disorders, and other complex illnesses. Through partnerships within TCC and across Alaska’s healthcare system, our interdisciplinary team helps patients and families navigate every stage of the cancer journey—from diagnosis and treatment to survivorship and end-of-life care.

We understand that cancer care can be complex. Our goal is to reduce barriers, coordinate care, and provide the support and resources patients need so they can focus on their health and healing. Our team works closely with specialists, primary care providers, and community resources to bring more cancer care services closer to home.

Some services we are currently able to provide in our infusion center include central line care (Port and PICC) and IV infusions such as hydration, antibiotics, bone strengthening medications, iron infusions, monoclonal antibody treatments, immunotherapies for cancer, hormonal therapies for cancer and single agent chemotherapies, with plans to expand to multi-agent chemotherapies in the near future.
Our team has worked hard to create a safe environment for patients and staff, using national infusion standards to meet the highest levels of care. Your experience in the Infusion Center will be managed by specialty care nurses with certifications and training from the Oncology Nursing Society and Infusion Nursing Society.
