On April 30, 2026, Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC) proudly celebrated the graduation of Leadership for Results Cohort 3 in Fairbanks. The ceremony marked the completion of an intensive, multi-month leadership development journey for participants representing TCC programs and Tribes from across the region.
Leadership for Results is designed to strengthen both individual and community leadership by building skills in communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking. Throughout the program, participants focused on social-emotional well-being, capacity-building, and developing practical tools to address real challenges facing their communities.
A cornerstone of the program is the Action Learning Project, where participants work in teams to apply what they’ve learned to real-world issues. Each team engaged with community members—including Elders, adults, and youth—to ensure their projects reflected local priorities and voices. This year’s projects included making cards for Elders, hosting wellness events for men, and surveying youth to learn more about their needs. These projects were presented during the graduation ceremony, highlighting thoughtful, community-driven solutions and a strong commitment to positive change.
The program continues to build on its success each year. Graduates from previous cohorts returned to support Cohort 3, offering mentorship and guidance that strengthened both the learning experience and the sense of connection across cohorts. Their involvement reflects the program’s growing network of leaders dedicated to supporting one another and their communities.
Family members, leadership, and supporters gathered to recognize the graduates and celebrate their accomplishments. The event highlighted not only participants’ hard work, but also the shared commitment to building strong, resilient, and unified communities across the TCC region.
