II. Welcome and brief statement of reason for meeting.
III. Introduction of Interior Region AC chairs or representatives and a brief statement of concerns or issues to be discuss. Please limit to 3 minutes each.
IV. Open discussion of fisheries issues. Facilitator will make every effort to give each AC representative equal opportunity to address discussion items.
Items for discussion may include, but not limited to:
(1) Board of Fish call for proposals for subsistence, personal use, sport, guided sport, and commercial fishing regulations for Bristol Bay finfish, Arctic/Yukon/Kuskokwim finfish, Alaska Peninsula/ Aleutian Islands/Chignik finfish areas and statewide finfish areas. This includes proposals affecting PNP (private-non-profit) hatchery egg production.
a. Suggestions for proposals – Stocks of Concern (SOC), mesh size impacts, creating conservation corridors for salmon, reducing hatchery egg production, having an in-depth hatchery committee meeting, methods to further reduce intercept of chum and Chinook in Area M, observer coverage in Area M. Proposals due April 10, 2025.
(2) Board of Fish representative for the AYK
(3) Upcoming Board of Fish meetings: a. Board of Fish Southeast and Yakutat finfish Jan 28- Feb 9th, 2025 in Ketchikan
b. Board of Fish Statewide, March 11-16th, 2025 in Anchorage
(4) NPFMC Special meeting on Chum EIS Final Rule, Anchorage, comments due January 31st, meeting February 3-12th
(5) Yukon River Panel post-season and pre-season meetings and efforts for a Chinook and chum rebuilding plan for the Yukon River
(6) Discussion of another joint Interior Region AC meeting before April.
