Workplace Purchases

We provide the opportunity for beneficiaries living in the TCC service area to receive the tools they need to enter the workforce through our Employment & Training Program including support for the following areas:

• Arctic Gear for new North Slope Workers
• EFF Gear for Fire Fighters
• Interview Clothing
• Professional Clothing
• First Time Union Dues
• Flagger Certification Card
• Trainings 3 weeks or less, that lead to employment
• And other barriers to Employment

Funding can only be awarded where the supportive service is directly linked to obtaining full-time employment of the client or removing a barrier to employment.

To be eligible for financial assistance, you must:

1. Be Alaska Native/American Indian;
2. Be enrolled to a BIA-recognized tribe;
3. Have recently obtained or be seeking verifiable employment;
4. Be pursuing training in an occupation in which there is a reasonable expectation of obtaining employment;
5. Show financial need, be unemployed or underemployed. NOTE: Not all items applicable to all programs
