Energy Assistance

In some cases we are able to help pay a portion of home heating expenses and some weatherization needs for eligible individuals. The program runs from October 1st through April 30th each year.

Eligible Communities

We are able to serve non-Native and Native residents in: Alatna, Allakaket, Anvik, Arctic Village, Beaver, Bettles, Birch Creek, Central, Chalkyitsik, Chicken, Circle, Dot Lake, Eagle, Evansville, Fort Yukon, Galena, Grayling, Holy Cross, Hughes, Huslia, Kaltag, Koyukuk, Lake Minchumina, McGrath, Manley Hot Springs, Minto, Nenana, Nikolai, Northway, Nulato, Rampart, Ruby, Shageluk, Stevens Village, Takotna, Tanacross, Tanana, Telida, Tetlin & Venetie.

Serves only Native residents in and around Anderson, Clear, Delta Junction, Healy, Healy Lake & Tok.

Payments from Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD), Old Age Benefit, and Senior Assistance Program do not count as income.

Apply for Energy Assistance

If you are in need of energy assistance you must complete the Energy Assistance Application (340KB)

    • If you are self-employed you must also fill out the  Monthly Self-Employment Income Report (50KB)
    • If you do NOT have copies of Pay Stubs for the month prior to the date you signed your application your employer must complete a  Work Statement (35KB)
