Each year we provide the opportunity for youth to attend several annual events that will increase their awareness of Alaska Native issues, help them network with other Native Youth in Alaska, and develop leadership skills.
TCC Annual Convention
Tanana Chiefs Conference Employment & Training Youth Services are recruiting for twelve Youth Delegates to represent their respective sub-region for the TCC Annual Convention.
Two Youth Delegates will be selected from each of the six sub-regions:
- Yukon Flats
- Yukon Tanana
- Lower Yukon
- Upper Kuskokwim
- Upper Tanana
- Yukon Koyukuk
TCC Annual Convention Dates:
March 11th-14th, 2019
Youth Delegate Attendance Dates:
March 7th-15th, 2019, includes travel days

There is no cost to attend. Selected youth delegates will be provided lodging, travel, and food. In addition, TCC will provide chaperones.

Denakkanaaga Elders & Youth Conference
Each year Denakkanaaga Inc., an Alaska Native Elders Organization, hosts an annual Elders & Youth Conference which bring together elders and youth from throughout the region. The conference is hosted by a different interior community every year as determined by the Denakkanaaga Board of Directors.
The Denakkanaaga Elders & Youth Conference is being held in Nulato to honor the late Poldine Carlo.
First Alaskans Institute Elders & Youth Conference
First Alaskans Institute Elders & Youth Conference connects youth participants, experienced leaders, and Elders to strengthen Alaska Native voices to create advocacy for positive change. The conference increases the level of community partnerships, and knowledge-sharing through celebration of our Native peoples, communities, and cultures.
