Attention Young Adults – Do you need your driver’s license?
This is an opportunity for young adults between the ages of 16-24 years of age to obtain your driver’s license.
- Tanana Chiefs Conference youth program will pay for the class fee. However, participants are required to pay their own travel and lodging expenses in Fairbanks.
- To qualify you are required to have your Driver’s Permit for 6 months or longer with a clean driving record; be Alaska Native, American Indian or Native Hawaiian decent.
- North Star Driving School, located in Fairbanks, will provide the training. This will consist of one day in-class lecture and up to six hours of driving lessons in town.
- If you are under the age of 18, you will need an original notarized form with a parent/legal guardian signature brought to the DMV office.

- Driver’s Permit
- Notarized Form
- 2 Pieces of I.D.
