WHEREAS, Tok Native Association (TNA) is an entity made up of members of the Upper Tanana villages who reside within the boundaries of TNA; and
WHEREAS, TNA has a number of students who are eligible under the Johnson-O’Malley (JOM) program; and
WHEREAS, TNA use to have these funds for camps, beading classes, and native dancing group that benefited the youth; and
WHEREAS, the TNA does not currently have a JOM program.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Tanana Chiefs Conference Full Board of Directors directs staff to take necessary steps to retain JOM program services for Tok Native Association and Tribal members living in Tok, so that Tok students may benefit.
