9:30-11:00     Living Your Values- The tribal justice system is a key tool in tribal communities to preserve unwritten traditional values and to empower families to live healthy lifestyles. 

11:00-11:15   Break/Doorprizes 

11:15-1:00     Family First: Protecting Our Future. Panelist will highlight removal prevention activities working in their tribal community. And discuss the Family First Act & Tribal Compacting.

9:30-10:45    Public Safety in Rural Alaska- Tribal communities experience crime at higher rates than urban Alaska. Tribal Government are required to find creative and grassroots alternative to protect community members.

10:45-11:00   Break/Doorprizes

11:00-12:00   Protecting Victims of Crime– Panelists will discuss handling domestic violence cases in tribal court, removing dangerous people from the community, and the dangers of exposure of domestic violence in children.  

12:00-1:00     State Resources to grow Tribal Justice Systems- Panelists will share state/tribal collaboration resources to help enhance the tribal justice system to be a holistic and accessible court to all tribal members.

11:00-11:30   Sovereign Immunity– Federally recognized tribe are protected by sovereign immunity. Tribal Courts, court personnel, and tribal law enforcement are covered when working within the scope of their authority.
