The Rural Diversion Meeting is intended for court administrators, judges, court clerks, council members, or other participants who are directly involved in your diversion program.
The Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) is able to fund travel and lodging for two participants from each community. Round-trip flights to Anchorage and lodging at the Crowne Plaza will be paid in advance by DJJ. Participants will be able to receive a per diem reimbursement. A hotel shuttle will be available for traveling to and from the airport.
A detailed agenda will be available soon. Below is a list of topics that the DJJ hopes to focus on:
- DJJ System
- Adolescent Brain Development
- Effects of Substance Abuse on the Brain
- Referral to Services
- Financial Resources
Please notify Jonathan Estes by December 18th if you wish to attend.
