Written by Communications_Dept on . Posted in

We are inviting everyone to join us for a 5K run/walk that will honor those we have lost to cancer. ‘Khotr’elneyn’ is from the Tanana dialect meaning ‘We Remember’.

Registration will be available at the event! The event is FREE but race bibs will be sold at a suggested donation of $5 which will go the Interior Alaska Cancer Association. Whether you’re a competitive runner OR would just like to walk the race with your family, this event is great for everyone!

Information on cancer prevention, screenings, and support services will be available. There will also be authentic Alaska Native artwork available for purchase.

ALL proceeds will go towards the Interior Alaska Cancer Association.

More information will be available soon.

The annual Gathering of Remembrance will be held this month to honor the memory of Sophie Sergie and other victims of unsolved homicides in Fairbanks.

Started by the late Shirley Demientieff, Fairbanks community members gather together to remember the victims of unsolved homicides in Fairbanks. With the recent arrest of a suspect in the decades long Sophie Sergie homicide case, a special honoring will be held for her and her family.
