TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT
Tribal Development
Tribal Development provides assistance to local
governments and individuals with regard to community government
and services.
- The Village Public
Safety Officer Program employs officers in 9 villages
to provide law enforcement, probation/parole monitoring, search and rescue, fire protection, EMS responder
and community safety under supervision of the local government.
- Tribal Government Services
offers technical assistance to Tribal governments in the areas
of council training, financial management, intergovernmental
relations, development of constitutions, tribal courts, ordinances
and the exercise of Tribal authorities.
- Tribal Transportation
offers assistance to Tribal governments in the areas
of transportation planning and development. Tribal Transportation improves and promotes the environmental, economic, and cultural development and improves safe transportation systems. Transportation advocates for projects and initiatives of common interests throughout the region. Tribes are able to
view their Indian Reservation Road information, including 5704s and route narratives.
- Economic Development offers technical assistance and training to Tribes in an effort to promote Tribal self-sufficiency. Capacity building trainings include entrepreneurship, business development workshops, financial literacy and grant writing/management.
