2005 Projects
Fort Yukon Science Camp
- Two year project starting in 2005
- Funded by USFWS, OSM
- Investigators: TCC, CATG, ADF&G Subsistence
- Seeking 9 th -12 th graders to apply from the following communities: Fort Yukon , Stevens Village , Rampart, Arctic Village , Beaver, Chalkyitsik, Birch Creek, Venetie
- Activities will consist of: local knowledge storytelling, fish identification, macroinvertebrate identification, stream ecology, fisheries management, and more
- Purpose: To train 9 th -12 th graders in fisheries including Western and Traditional science
Seasonal Migrations and Important Habitat for Three Species of Whitefish Using Radio Telemetry in the Kanuti National Wildlife Refuge
- Three year project that started in 2004

Abundance and Run Timing of Chinook Salmon and Summer Chum Salmon in Henshaw Creek Using a Floating Board Resistance Weir
- Three year project starting in 2005
- Funded by USFWS, OSM
- Investigators: TCC, USFWS
- Salmon will be enumerated and scales and fin tissues will be collected from a portion of the run for age determination and genetic stock identification respectively
- Looking to hire technicians from local communities to run the weir in 2005
