Health Director
Victor Joseph began as the TCC Health Services Director in September 2005. As Director Victor will serve as supervisor for the Program Directors in the following programs: Community Health Aide Program, Ch'eghutsen', Upper Tanana Alcohol Program, Women Infants & Children, Old Minto Family Recovery Camp and Hunik Zoo'. In the absence of the Health Director he will also serve as Acting Health Director.
Victor comes to TCC from the Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) where he directed its Recovery Service Division, which provides a full continuum of services with an annual budget of more than four million dollars. He was responsible for several programs within the Substance Abuse Services division. One of his main duties was to incorporate Alaskan Native values within the division while maintaining the highest standards possible in the field of recovery. He currently holds National Certification as an Addiction Counselor Level 1 and the State of Alaska 's Clinical Supervisor Certification. He has served at TCC's Director for the Old Minto Family Recovery Camp. During his tenure in this position he successfully developed a substance abuse program that incorporated common clinical practices with Alaskan Native traditions, culture, and lifestyle.
