The Youth Center is run by a Youth Development Specialist (YDS). The YDS in each village not only oversees the Youth Center, they also work with enrolled youth on creating a long-term career plan. The YDS works with each individual youth in building job skills, and assists with academics to help youth in reaching their career goals. The YDS is also a mentor and role model to the youth. They encourage healthy, drug-free lifestyles by coordinating drug-free events at the Youth Center, such as dances and family game nights. |
