Youth Employment Services (YES), administered by Tanana
Chiefs Conference, provides paid work experience
(the majority of which is available during the summer)
and a year of follow-up activities to enhance
employability skills for Alaska Native/American Indian
youth who are 14-21 years of age and economically
disadvantaged.
The
paid work experience emphasizes
job skills that help youth gain maximum employment
potential. The year of follow-up and supportive
services for youth participants will help youth develop
basic educational skills and further prepare for their
futures. Employment
opportunities for youth are available in the TCC region.
